The Tale of Jaimey McFee

Music by Harley Gittleman
Lyrics by Jill Gittleman

This is the tale of Jaimey McFee,
the luckiest man there ever will be.

Jaimey was out of work and then
his girlfriend left him both high and dry.
He found a dog, a miserable pup,
and he named it Mud and took him home.
A dog was better than a fickle lass.

His new best friend was worse off than he.
The ugliest dog you ever did see.
This is the tale of Jaimey McFee,
the luckiest man there ever will be.

As Jaimey slept one night, dear Mud
began a-barkin’ and howlin’ so loud
that Jaimey awoke. He gagged on smoke.
His place was burnin’ right down to the ground.
Dear little Mud, brave little Mud.

Lucky for them, they both escaped.
A week in hospital changed his life.
He met a nurse to whom he’s now wed,
and he went to work for Doctor Ogg,
the veterinarian who patched up his dog.

That was the tale of Jaimey McFee,
the luckiest man there ever will be.
So don’t give up whatever you do,
cuz similar things could happen to you!

Don’t give up whatever you do.
Don’t give up whatever you do.
It could happen to you.
